Back on January 9, before last weekend's performance at Atlanta's Terminal West (pic, above), Zola Jesus gave an in-studio performance in Seattle at KEXP.
Here it is:
According to KEXP's web site:
"In Taiga, Zola Jesus has made her songs truly evergreen. Named for the Russian word for forest, the new album by Nika Roza Danilova draws upon the cold Siberian woods of her ancestors, the frosty clime of her childhood home, Wisconsin, and most recently, the great outdoors of her must residence on Vashon Island, Washington, to add a crisp sheen and a broader expanse to the epic grandeur that has typified all of her work. Recently, Zola Jesus shared her emotively powerful new songs live on KEXP, turning our small studio into a wooded cathedral of sound."
