Yo La Tango News

Yo La Tengo at Buckhead Theater, Janary 2013
On August 28, Yo La Tengo will release a new album, Stuff Like That There, a 14-song collection of covers, originals and rearrangements in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of their 1990 album, Fakebook.  For the new album, Yo La Tengo will feature the usual  trio of Ira Kaplan, Georgia Hubley and James McNew (on upright bass), augmented by the guitarist and former Yo La Tengo member Dave Schramm.

This version of Yo La Tengo will kick off a world tour in Troy, NY (of all places), and will play Atlanta's Variety Playhouse on September 27.  This could very well be our only opportunity to see Yo La Tengo take the stage in this particular lineup and format.

Here's the new album's acoustic rearrangement of Deeper Into Movies from Yo La Tengo's 1997 I Can Hear The Heart Beating As One:

And here's their deep cover of 1990s Hoboken psych-pop band Special Pillow's Automatic Doom:
