Looking for a new band to like? I may have found just the thing for you - London's Haelos, whose debut album, Full Circle, drops tomorrow. Their dark euphoric sound is comparable to bands like The xx, but with a more diverse pallet of electronica, trip-hop, and even EDM elements. But the overall mood, while still allowing beats that could be danced too, is dark and somber and serious - hell, the album even opens with a few words from none other than Alan Watts.
They're at SXSW right now, but the rest of their current tour brings them no where else near the American South. Still, I think I'm hearing a band that may be around for a while.
