If I understand this correctly, the audio on this video is a mash-up of songs by Australia's The Avalanches, who themselves are a plunderphonics band whose every song is a mash-up in itself. The visuals are a clever pastiche by Sydney-based art collective Soda_Jerk of movies, cartoons, television, and who knows what else (be sure to catch the credits at the end). I counted Mystery Train, Fritz The Cat, Cool World, Edward Scissorhands, Daniel Johnson, and Cheech and Chong, and that was just the first 30 seconds. My head exploded trying to name all the references after that.
