As a reminder, this blog has been passing what is hopefully the last days of coronavirus self-isolation by going through the discography of the late jazz musician Stanley Turrentine. Why? Why not? Early last year, we went through the discography of French folk-drone band Natural Snow Buildings and found it a productive use of our free time. So far, we've found it rewarding taking an in-depth look at Turrentine's back catalogue.
Today, we'll take a short break. So far, we've gone through Stanley's recordings from 1960 up to his very last session of 1963. We'll pick up with 1964 tomorrow, but in the meantime, just for something completely different, here's Frànçois & the Atlas Mountains.
