I thought you might be interested in another anti-Trump protest song. It's not by a Grammy-nominated, established artist, but rather by an unsigned singer from Brooklyn named Mercy Weiss.
Here is the music video. It is not a dull political lecture - I think you'll find it fun and refreshing.

The great American label Barsuk Records has announced a benefit album called SAD! The seven-tracks features Barsuk artists covering songs by other Barsuk artists, with all proceeds going to the American Civil Liberties Union. In fact, all proceeds from Barsuk's Bandcamp site will also go to the ACLU until the end of the month so we should all go and support them while they're out there supporting all of us.
Angel Olsen provides the first song of the First 100 Days anthology, which describes itself on its Bandcamp profile as follows:
"With Trump's first 100 days in office upon us, action must be taken to protect the causes that will come under threat from this administration.
Our First 100 Days seeks to aid in that protection. Joining together with artists and labels we will be releasing one rare, unreleased or exclusive song per day to you via Bandcamp.
For a minimum contribution of $30, supporters will be able to access all 100 songs in the project, including new music from Angel Olsen, How To Dress Well, Toro Y Moi, The Range and many more.
All profits raised from Our First 100 Days will go directly to organizations working on the front lines of climate, women's rights, immigration and fairness.
The project was started in conjunction with Secretly Group and 30 Songs, 30 Days, and aims to raise funds and awareness for organizations supporting causes that are under threat by the proposed policies of a Trump administration. This project is produced with the help of Revolutions Per Minute, an organization that provides strategy and support for artists making change."

This Is Not America, from the late (2014) Charlie Haden's Liberation Music Orchestra, sounds as relevant now as ever. Carla Bley (far right, above) provided piano, arranged and conducted, and will be a featured artist in next year's Big Ears Festival in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Fidel Castro's recent death also reminds me of the Liberation Music Orchestra's 1970 effort, an ode to revolution from a line-up of jazz superstars (Gato Barbieri, Dewey Redman, Don Cherry, Michael Mantler, Roswell Rudd, Howard Johnson, Paul Motian, and Andrew Cyrille, among others), with Bley (far left, below) once again on piano, arranging, and composing many of the pieces, including the wittily titled The Ending To The First Side and Side Two's Drinking Song.
