Courtney Barnett does a Take Away Show for La Blogothèque and plays Atlanta (The Loft) next week with Chastity Belt on the same night (June 9) The Rolling Stones are playing 1.5 miles to the south at Georgia Tech with St. Paul & The Broken Bones.
The traffic will be legendary.
The Rolling Stones traffic will all be on the freeway headed South as the suburbanites flood in from, well, the suburbs. They won't get off until the GATech exit, thereby missing West Peachtree Street entirely. Even if they're coming from the southern suburbs ( one of our Kindergarten teachers has tickets e.g.) they will still be on I85 until North Avenue. I think it will be OK around the Loft. Famous last words. I can always ride MARTA.
