Meanwhile, Elsewhere In France

The Dutch band YĪN YĪN consists of Yves Lennertz (the one who looks like The Hound from Game of Thrones) on guitar, Kees Berkers on drums, Gino Bombrini on percussion, and Remy Scheren on bass.  Their music is a mix of disco grooves, Thaï-beat tunes, and experimental synth-pop. Their album The Rabbit That Hunts Tigers sounds like the soundtrack of a 60s hippie commune on the South China Sea.

Here's a video of them performing in December 2019 at La Chapelle by Le Studio as part of Trans Musicales 2019.  It's pretty mind-blowing.

Trans Musicales is an annual music festival that takes place in Rennes, France. Since the festival's beginning, it has been known for presenting the "next big thing" in music. The festival has become one of the most significant musical events in Europe, attracting over 62,000 people.

Rennes is in Brittany in the northwest part of France, not far from Vitre, the home of Mehdi and Solange of Natural Snow Buildings.  La Chapelle by le Studio is a mixed-use space in the center of Rennes dedicated to design and events, meetings, training, seminars, and workshops.  The video we posted last month of Los Bitchos was also filmed at La Chapelle during Trans Musicales.
