It would be an understatement to say I don't play much hip hop here. It's not generally my cup of tea, although the best tracks by the best artists (Kendrick, De La Soul, clipping, and others) absolutely slay me.
Dylan Cartlidge's Yellow Brick Road falls into that superlative category. This isn't just good hip hop - this is damn good music. It's also got elements of neo-soul, psychedelic pop, and who knows what else - it's a lot more than just a plain rap song.
One of the few bright spots in this god-forsaken Year of the Plague 2020.
