Jim O'Rourke has dropped a new Steamroom release, number 68, the first in over a year. These missives used to come out on a nearly monthly basis, and then abruptly stopped a year ago last June.
No notes, no production credits, no writing at all accompanied this release, other than it was recorded this month. You can purchase it for the very reasonable price of only three dollars and fifty cents over at Bandcamp.
The Steamroom releases are far from ambient music - at times they grab you by the lapels and demand your attention - but at least for me, they make highly enjoyable soundtracks for day-to-day listening.
