With The Joy Formidable and Gwenno both embracing their Welsh routes, Wales' own Cate Le Bon has gone a different direction and formed Drinks, a collaborative project with Tim Presley of San Francisco's White Fence. They consider themselves an LA band but are on tour in the UK right now. They'll be touring the US this autumn, and although we've seen Cate a couple of times before at The Earl, once opening for St. Vincent and once on her own, tour plans for Drinks currently don't include any stops in the American South.
