Montréal's Ought are U.S. and Australian expats who were attracted by the Canadian winters, university tuition that didn't cost $40k a year, the city's independent music scene, and its radical politics. Ought is now part of a politically-engaged DIY arts community that has coalesced around loft spaces at the northern edge of Montreal’s Mile End district in recent years and probably wouldn't mind me using their Weather Song to remind everyone about the issue of climate change.
