Yo La Tengo seem to be in a retrospective mood lately. Earlier this year, they reissued their classic 1993 album Painful as More Painful, and before announcing the release of their newest album (of mostly covers and rearrangements of earlier YLT songs) and upcoming tour, Yo La Tengo played a set at New York's Cake Shop as The Condo Fucks, the name they use when playing sets of all cover tunes (when they play all experimental improvisation, they go by Little Black Egg Big Band, as we saw in Raleigh last summer at Hopscotch). The good folks at NYC Taper captured the Cake Shop set and have kindly posted the two songs below, as well as making the entire set available for download.
