Composer and violinist Owen Pallet has kept his genius under wraps for a few years, but now he has a new album coming out, Island, his first in six years.
This powerful video isn't the first imagery that comes to my mind on hearing the song A Bloody Morning, but now having seen it, I can probably never think of it without these emotionally resonant images again.
I saw Pallett at The Earl back around 2011 when he was touring in support of his album Heartland. I don't know of him playing in the American South since then, and now I'll probably never live long enough to ever see him again, what with the 'rona and all.
